BURN THEM ALL!!!!!

Ok, so that title may be a little extreme, but I wanted to make an impact for my first proper return post. As you may have guessed I’ve had a little faction hop again, this time I’m hoping it will end a little differently. The last major hop was to Retribution last year, I made the bold claim that I was going to stick with them, good or bad, for the whole of 2012. If you have looked at any recent posts you will release quite quickly that I failed quite horribly. I made it to April, which considering my history with faction swapping is still pretty good! I’m hoping in 2013 I can make it the whole way, using Menoth in most if not all events I attend.

I decided to go with Menoth for a few reasons. The first being our local Meta is short on Menoth players. We have a few guys who have just picked up the faction, but they are quite new to the game and not yet familiar with the tournament scene on a wider scale. The second reason was quite simple, I love the models!

So where do I start? First things first a test model! I walked into Mad for Miniatures a grabbed the first Menite that grabbed my attention - An Allegiant of the Order of the Fist.

I’m going for a crusading force, with damp rainforest basing!

The blog is alive!

Hello everyone!

I know I’ve said this a fair amount in the last few posts, but I’m sorry it’s been so quiet!

I’m back now though so don’t worry posts should start appearing with more regularity!

You may have noticed a small change in layout etc.; this is the visible sign of the blogs rebirth!

When I last posted I had started using Cryx again, not everyone’s cup of tea, but I did paint the Kraken.

I also painted and converted the Harbinger for a friend!

Hello!

Confusing title?

Ive been painting a little bit more Cygnar, but something very very bad has happened.....more on that in a minute.

Shortly after painting the JourneyWOman warcaster I had a few 50 point games with a local lich lord (Rich), we both had an awesome time, winning one each, during the game tho it was mentioned that I had not used my Cryx for a while, didn't think much of it at the time, but the suggestion was settling....

A few days later another local Cryx player tried to convince me to start using them again...

Between the two Lich lords I couldnt help it...

And that was just this week!

As promised Ive managed to get Arlan finished!

I also managed to get a unit of Stormblades finished :)

I think Ive settled on a 50 point list at last, my aim is to get that painted before moving onto anything else!

Over the next few weeks I'm hoping to bring back the gamer profiles and battle reports. I'm only going to be using fully painted forces for the battle reports, so if any of the local gamers are reading this.....get painting!

Going Blue!

Hello!

Its been a VERY long time since my last update, and for that I'm very sorry, hopefully today's update will make up for that!

As you may or may not have guessed by the title or logo above Ive once again picked up another faction (its been pointed out recently, I don't collect a faction, I collect the whole game!)

The reason behind it was quite simple......STORMWALL!

The second he was released I rushed down to my LGS (Mad For Miniatures) and picked him up. After the club that night I set about building one of the coolest models Ive ever seen! The kit itself is lovely, but that's for another time! After a quick trip to the back garden to undercoat him I set about painting him.......Fast forward 12 hours and he was done!

At this point I had no intention of starting a new faction, I just wanted to own a Colossal, I was happy for him just to sit in the display cabinet, next to my Retribution, looking very very cool. I wont deny playing with some lists in my head, but that was as far as it went....until my lovely wife asked the question "did you rely just spend nearly £100 on a model your not going to use" to which I replied " your right darling I should start a Cygnar army".

Next day I was off down to the LGS again to pick up some models for my new Cygnar army. I came home and built up and painted the following -

Ive also finished Sloan, eCaine and a pair of Hunters, but for some reason they have evaded the Camera!

A few weeks into my Cygnar journey I was chatting to a local Cygnar player and he mentioned that he might be willing to part with his sizable Cygnar force! A little bargaining later and I'm spraying fairy power spray into an ice cream tub!

I know have nearly the entire faction......not bad for a month :p

My aims for this week are to get Arlan painted and test out a few lists, including the following -

BIG PAINTING UPDATE!

 So...its been a while.....

Whilst Ive been a little lax on updating the blog, I have still been busy painting!

First up we have some Legion!

Next some Circle! (Yes that's right I'm painting Circle as well now ;) )

Im not the only one who has been busy! Hannah has finished loads more Trollbloods!

Ive also just built this guy....

Really looking forward to getting some paint on him!

Tale update
